HIIT is a type of interval training exercise. It incorporates several rounds that alternate between several minutes of high intensity movements to significantly increase the heart rate to at least 80% of one’s maximum heart rate, followed by short periods of lower intensity movements.
Circuit training is a combination of six or more exercises performed with short rest periods between them for either a set number of repetitions or a prescribed amount of time.
Tempo training is adding a set tempo or speed into your training to help you build more muscle, improve strength and aid fat loss.
Cardiovascular exercise is any vigorous activity that increases heart rate and respiration and raises oxygen and blood flow throughout the body while using large muscle groups of the body repetitively and rhythmically.
Yoga combines physical movements with meditation and calm breathing techniques. Pilates involves a series of repetitive body moves with a breath technique to enhance correct movement and coordination. Regular yoga and Pilates classes improve your muscle strength, and balance and flexibility skills.
